Alte Liebe an der Amper in Dachau

Ate lunch here on Saturday. Although we had a reservation, we unfortunately did not get such a nice table (right at the door). Ate the worst veal schnitzel here (for € 18). Tough with tendons, like chewing gum and that in the calf! The french fries were felt to be a few pieces. The portion of roast onion for a whopping 22 € is not even enough to fill you up afterwards. And the waitress didn't like his job either. It's a shame because the ambience was nice. In the future we might come here to have coffee, because coffee is first class here.

The "Alte Liebe an der Amper" is located in Im Lus 4, in 85221 Dachau. However, it is a quaint restaurant with down-to-earth southern German and European dishes. The ambience and atmosphere is very pleasant there. I drank a nice beer and ate a duck there. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very valuable. Highly recommended!

I like the beer garden, the food (schnitzel - delicious), the desserts ... I think it's bland that you can't pay with credit card and / or contactless, that most of the waitresses have their masks under their noses. Respect for the guests is different ...

Once and never again! Unfriendly waiters. Half-finished baked potato. Waited 30 minutes for the drink and 45 minutes for an inedible woodcutter steak. Waited another 45 minutes until I was graciously allowed to pay

Nicely located beer garden. Very tasty food. Very friendly and attentive staff. The used ashtray was exchanged for another unused one when the dishes were served. Toilets clean. Highly recommended if you want to eat well in a nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately had to wait over 1 hour for the food. Vegetables and King Ludwig Rolle were okay. Fish extremely bony. Had to point out several times that we want to pay. The house dog is nice and trusting. Prices are ok. Hard to get a table without a reservation on nice days as a hiking trail passes by. Occasionally a lot of mosquitoes on site.

We just went there because of the good rating because we stopped here in the area. The reviews didn't promise too much. Very attentive staff and good food. TOP keep it up. Will definitely recommend it if one of my friends goes to Dachau! Thank you :)

Ate delicious apple strudel. Large portion, very nicely presented with delicious fruit. It could have been a little more cream and vanilla sauce.

Nice beer garden. Mostly friendly service. Food partly good (boiled beef) partly mediocre (veal liver). We had to wait a relatively long time for the food.

Super delicious food in the middle price range. Conditions are nice and fast. Very nice ambience. Gladly again. The portions are very ample.

Reserved for 85th birthday with decoration this was completely missing, after ordering the food waited 1 hour, side dish with wienerschnitzel exactly 5 fried potatoes, the old love is no longer what it used to be, a shame. Maybe today wasn't a good day.

Whenever you go there a feast for the eyes, the decoration just great and the food first. I can't rate any restaurant as positively as this one, the food a lot and above all a culinary delight, the waiters very nice and everything there. Really only to recommend otherwise you really miss something.

We are very satisfied. We had the König-Ludwig Rolle and the Die Schlanken Salat. It was extremely tasty. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We would like to come again.

*****5 Stars Last night we were here for the first time with 8 people for a birthday and were delighted with the size and location. The drinks would be picked up and served very quickly. The onion roast beef and the König Ludwig roll are highly recommended. However, we would have one small point of criticism: the “Italian Trio” appetizer platter should be a bit more stocked for the money * We'd love to come again *

Place really nice, food normal. There is the option for wood grill. I tried ribs unfortunately the quality of the meat was not really good. Update July 2020 Food quality very poor, service very bad food came before drinks. Never again

I am always amazed by this great restaurant and beautiful beer garden. The food is terrific. The staff absolutely courteous and lovable. The atmosphere is super great and the price-performance ratio is right too. Great service, we like to come back again and again!

I can't say what the beer garden was like as I was there in late autumn but inside was a magical Christmas cacophony of decorations. Very friendly staff, we even sat on the "Stammtisch" almost hidden behind a Christmas centerpiece table decoration 🎅🤶

Spent our last day of a 14 day trip visiting Dachau and had our “last supper” at this Biergarten. The atmosphere was incredible as was the food. The schnitzel with horseradish and mustard was the best we had. Would highly recommend the desserts. They have English menus which was very helpful since our waiter didn’t speak English. Only drawback was they only take cash. Luckily we had Euros to use up!

Nice beer-garten. Can be a bit overcrowded.

Very nice laid out with many flowers. Prices for the meal fit m.E. to the delivered service. It tasted ... but too expensive. Service was super nice, playground great. Unfortunately, we had a few reckless smokers at the neighboring tables. We had extra at the entrance to the playground set, which apparently also selected some smoker.

Without a doubt the best "Schnitzel" in Bayern.... my opinion 😋

Fantastic food, good prices, nice atmosphere.

Food was on a pricey side and I didn't particularly like it. 20 min waiting for a servant to even come and accept the order and another 20 min for the food to finally appear. They are severely understaffed, the Biergarden was even not a half-full. At least they said upfront that there will be a long waiting time... On a positive side, they have an outdoor playground, so my kids weren't bored while waiting 40 min for their food.

The food looked delicious. I went here on a Sunday afternoon with my fiance. We were quickly assisted by a waitress. My fiance ordered schnitzel and I ordered ribs. Her meal came after about 10 minutes. Mine never arrived. We asked a few times about my order and we were assured that they were working on it. I waited over an hour. I watched as a large group that came about 15 minutes after us received and finished 4 plates of ribs as I was being ensured that mine would come soon. We asked that the ribs be taken off the bill. We paid and left. All in all, it was a bizarre experience.

What a surprise. We came here by chance and we're overly delighted at what we found. Great food, great service! The decorations might have been a little over the top for Easter, but it was arranged with a lot of care and everything was clean and well maintained.
